We may update this Policy Notes at our discretion from time to time by posting a new version on the application and Google Play Store’s App profile. You should check the application and Google Play Store’s App profile occasionally to ensure any changes made are suitable for you. You will be informed of any significant changes made to the Privacy Policy on “Beacon Finance App” topic in the Financial Fitness section.
There is no need to create an account and give consent to personal data processing when viewing information of listed companies and some free blog posts. You would need to create an account if you will need to comment, reply to comments, using the watchlist, accessing the screener results and viewing premium content available for monthly subscription.
If you decided to create an account then you have to share some personal data with us so that we can provide you with access to our services.
During registration you will be required to provide us with your Google+ username and email address associated with the credential you have used. Only your username and profile picture will be available to the public when you leave a comment.
A profile is a set of information for each individual user that details his/her viewing preferences. When you create your profile on the application you agree that other users or visitors may see your user name, profile picture and your comments.
We collect cookie files to gather and analyze statistical information as well as to ensure security and to fight spam. Web beacons are tiny graphics with a unique identifier that allow us to track usage patterns, count users who have visited a particular page, etc. Web beacons only collect limited information, including a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page on which the web beacon resides. These beacons do not carry any personally identifiable information and are only used to track the effectiveness of Website. We use web beacons in connection with Google Analytics service together with Firebase. The information generated related to our Application is used to create reports about the use of the Website. We use this information to develop, test and improve our services further.

We collect the following information about the devices that you use to visit the site: IP-address of the device and operating system. We are collecting this information to prevent spam and abuse of our services.

We, therefore, have no responsibility or liability for the content, activities or privacy policies of those linked sites. We suggest you read the privacy policy of each and every site that you visit. We remind you that this Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by our Application (Beacon Finance).
We use your contact details such as username and email address to authenticate your account, ensure its security along with the security of our services and to prevent spam, fraud and abuse. Paid Users will receive a notification email from Google Pay if there are any issues with billing their cards for auto-renew subscriptions.
On rare occasions it is necessary to send out service-related announcements or important newsletters. For instance, if our service is interrupted for a prolonged period or major functionality upgrade is released, we might send all users an email message.
We can store and disclose your information to law enforcement authorities, state or government agencies if we establish that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the law. This includes responses to court orders or subpoenas, as well as other judicial or regulatory processes.

You may not use any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools on the Content, frame any portion of Beacon Finance or Content, sublicense, assign, transfer, sell, loan, or otherwise distribute for payment the Content without our prior written consent. You may not circumvent any mechanisms included in the Content for preventing the unauthorized reproduction or distribution of the Content. To stay compliant with exchange regulations and to prevent unauthorized access, your account can be used on only one device at a time.

In addition, you shall not, without the prior express written consent of Beacon Finance and the relevant data providers, make copies of any of the software or documentation that may be provided, electronically or otherwise, including, but not limited to, translating, decompiling, disassembling or creating derivative works.
Beacon Financials Limited grants all users of Beacon Finance and all other available versions of the app to use snapshots of Beacon Finance charts in analysis, articles, blog posts and other publications, as well as use Beacon Finance in education sessions (Financial Fitness), display Beacon Finance charts during video broadcasts, including overviews, news, analytics, and otherwise use or promote Beacon Finance charts or any products from the Beacon Finance application on the condition that Beacon Finance attribution must be clearly visible at all times that such products are used.
Attribution shall include any mentioning of and a reference to Beacon Finance, including but not limited to those described herein.
Use of Beacon Finance charts during video or other promotions where Beacon Finance attribution is not visible has to include a description of the product used therein. For instance: “Charting platform used for this analysis is provided by Beacon Finance”, or simply “Charts by Beacon Finance”, font size should not be lower than 10 PT = 13PX = 3.4MM.
Use of any Beacon Finance products outside the Beacon Finance website without a proper attribution of Beacon Finance is not allowed. Users that do not follow attribution rule herein may be banned permanently, and other legal actions may be taken to ensure compliance, including but not limited to cease-and-desist warnings, court orders, injunctions, fines, damages relief and so forth.
Beacon Finance may include links to third party websites. Some of these sites may contain materials that are objectionable, unlawful, or inaccurate. You agree that Beacon Finance shall not be held liable for any trading activities or other activities that occur on any website you access through links on Beacon Finance. We provide these links as a convenience, and do not endorse the content or services offered by these other sites. Any dealings that you have with advertisers found on Beacon Finance are between you and the advertiser and you acknowledge and agree that we are not liable for any loss or claim you may have against an advertiser.
Unauthorized soliciting on Beacon Finance is strictly prohibited and may result in penalties, including but not limited to, temporary or permanent bans of the account found in violation, and any appropriate and available legal action for monetary and other damages.
Certain services, such as ability to comment on articles, are available only to registered users of the Beacon Finance app and require you to sign in with a google account to use them. If you register as a user (a “Subscriber”) of any of the features of Beacon Finance, during the registration process you may be prompted to click an “Sign in,” or similar button; your clicking on such button will further confirm your agreement to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
In consideration of your use of the Beacon Finance app, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and are not a person barred from receiving Beacon Finance Services under the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania or other applicable jurisdiction. You also agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself. If you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or Beacon Finance has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, Beacon Finance has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Beacon Finance Services (or any portion thereof).
You accept responsibility for the confidentiality and use of any user name and email address that you may register for your access to and use of the Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account. You agree to (a) immediately notify Beacon Finance of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. Beacon Finance cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply.

You agree to indemnify and hold Beacon Finance and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, employees, partners and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of Content you submit, post, transmit, modify or otherwise make available through the Beacon Finance Services, your use of the Beacon Finance Services, your connection to the Beacon Finance Services, your violation of the Terms of Use, or your violation of any rights of another.
Upon a customer's request, the Beacon Finance account can be deleted. However any associated published ideas/comments will remain on the site. We believe that once an idea or a chart was published, it becomes part of the communal trading knowledge and should stay that way. This policy prevents users from keeping only their best ideas public, thus keeping everyone honest with themselves and gives others confidence in the public reputation.
You agree that Beacon Finance may, without prior notice, immediately terminate, limit your access to or suspend your Beacon Finance account, any associated email address, and access to the Beacon Finance Services. Cause for such termination, limitation of access or suspension shall include, but not be limited to, (a) breaches or violations of the Terms of Use or other incorporated agreements or guidelines, (b)requests by law enforcement or other government agencies, (c) discontinuance or material modification to the Beacon Finance Services (or any part thereof), (d) unexpected technical or security issues or problems, (e) extended periods of inactivity, (f) and/or engagement by you in fraudulent or illegal activities. Further, you agree that all terminations, limitations of access and suspensions for cause shall be made in Beacon Finance's sole discretion and that Beacon Finance shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your account, any associated email address, or access to the Beacon Finance Services.
By creating an account with Beacon Finance, you agree that Beacon Finance can use your email address to send you marketing materials, service-related notices, important information messages, special offers, etc.
Beacon Finance cannot and does not represent or guarantee that any of the information available on Beacon Finance is accurate, reliable, current, complete or appropriate for your needs. Various information available through the Services or on Beacon Finance may be specially obtained by Beacon Finance from professional businesses or organizations, such as exchanges, news providers, market data providers and other content providers (e.g., CMSA and possibly other established financial exchanges such as the Dar es Stock Exchange (DSE), and Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)), who are believed to be sources of reliable information (collectively, the “Data Providers”). Nevertheless, due to various factors — including the inherent possibility of human and mechanical error — the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, results obtained from use, and correct sequencing of information available through the app are not and cannot be guaranteed by Beacon Finance.
